Main Course Content
Students develop a knowledge and understanding of social issues within British society by studying the following units.
The sociological approach
Social structures, social processes and social issues
- Crime and deviance
- Social stratification
- Sociological research methods
There are two one hour and 45 minute examinations at the end of the course.
Students have access to the following textbooks:
Sociology GCSE for AQA (Collins).
Sociology Alive (Nelson Thornes).
A revision guide is provided for all students to support exam preparation. Individual support is available at key stages of the course.
